Dei por mim a pensar em tempos antigos em que ouvia Flaming Stars e pensava em romance obscuro saído de uma disco underground. Os Flaming Stars são uma banda que me faz revisitar os tempos áureos de Nick Cave, mas num tom mais suave e romântico, sim senhor. Um som que afaga uma atmosfera alcoólica a irradiar amor por uma mulher noctívaga...
Noites de whiskies e paixões de leve trago amargo, um pouco a suavizar Tindersticks. Na verdade, as teclas e as maracas misturadas num estilo pós-punk e alternativo dos anos 90, tudo complementado com uma voz à Staples: estrelas flamejantes a soltar notas que encantam noites frias e sóbrias.
Quem gosta de Tindersticks, Bowie ou Cousteau, quem já gostava de Gallon Drunk (antiga banda de Max Décharné) facilmente se apaixona por hinos como Hospital, Heaven or Hell ou The Face On The Bar Room Floor. Ouçam, é bom.
